Licensure Application Requirements:

ERES Barbering and Cosmetology Evaluation (Course by Course).

Please indicate the state licensing board to which you are applying when submitting your barbering or cosmetology application.

Cosmetology Licenses:

  • Cosmetology Operator License: 1,000 clock hours of instruction in a licensed beauty school.
  • Esthetician License: 750 clock hours of instruction in a licensed beauty school.
  • Manicurist License: 600 clock hours of instruction in a licensed beauty school.
  • Esthetician/Manicurist Specialty License: 1,200 clock hours of combined instruction in esthetics and manicuring.
  • Eyelash Extension Specialty License: 320 clock hours of instruction in a licensed beauty school.

Barbering Licenses:

  • Class A Barber License: 1,000 clock hours of instruction in a licensed barbering/cosmetology school.
  • Barber Technician License: 300 clock hours, to be completed in a course of not less than 8 weeks.
  • Barber Technician/Manicurist License: 900 clock hours, to be completed in a course of not less than 24 weeks.
  • Barber Technician/Hair Weaving License: 600 clock hours, to be completed in a course of not less than 16 weeks.
  • Hair Weaving Specialty Certificate: 300 clock hours.
